Victor Barra

BURLEY - Victor Barra Jr., age 63, of Burley, passed away, Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Cassia Regional Hospital in Burley.

Victor was born June 19, 1954, in Spokane, Washington, to Victor and Dominga Gonzales Barra. He received his education in Idaho Falls and Pullman, Washington. He married Anna Vale in 1998, in Burley.

Victor was a member of the Catholic Church and he owned and operated his own trucking business. He was passionate about karaoke singing and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed watching football with his grandson, Darius.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; his children, Victor Barra III of Pasco, Wash., Joanna Barra of Kennewick, Wash., Gabriel, Veronica and Jennifer, all of California, and Shannon, Rodney and Robert, all of Burley; as well as many grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Domingo Barra of Corpus Christi, Texas, and two sisters, Rosalinda Beltran of Burley, and Roberta Barra, of Boise.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Margarita; his brother, Saul; and his daughter, Beckie Fairchild.

A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
