Susie June Rice

MERIDIAN - Susie June Rice, 61, of Meridian, passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, after a valiant and courageous 11 year battle with cancer.

She was the meaning of life and anyone who knew her, loved her. She was and always will be our wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and best friend. She is survived by and is now watching over her husband of 39 years, William Dennis Rice; her three children, Mickey O’Donnell, Jenny Wade, and Brett Rice (Candice); and her 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Dean Brassuel; one brother, Ray Holt (Cathy); her sister, Judy Caverly (Dick); a beloved niece, Suzette Baker (Jim); and last but not least, Danny and Tammie Pace.

She was preceded in death by her baby boy John Paul; and her mother, Ruby Brassuel Simmons.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Susie’s life at a graveside service to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.

A special thanks from the family to the Mountain States Tumor Institute at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise, and to the 5th floor nurses at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, especially Charity.
