Savannah Rose Liljenquist

BURLEY – Following a devastatingly brief illness, Savannah Rose Liljenquist entered into Jesus' loving arms on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, leaving behind broken hearts of all that knew her.

Our little miracle baby was born on Jan. 23, 2005. Savannah was full of life and love and enthusiasm for the world around her. Her joyful character was evident in her laughing, dancing, singing, and the occasional attitude. She had an artist's eye and a giving heart, constantly drawing pictures to give to her friends and family. She saw beauty everywhere and loved the world around her. When she went 4-wheeling and hiking with her family, she always stopped to smell the mint and pick wildflowers. She enjoyed fishing and her favorite catch was a bull trout because it had the colors of a rainbow. She loved to learn. At school, she was a brilliant, little perfectionist that would get so disappointed if she didn't get her school work perfect and would even willingly skip recess. On the slope, she was excited to learn to ski and was so cute doing her pizza's and frenchfries. She had so much energy and had a great time running and enjoyed racing her parents and brother, Kelan. Above all, she loved to dance. This was the one time it was ok to “show some attitude” and she would toss her head one way, her hips the other, and a smile lighting up her face. Her love of dance was so evident that her dance teacher nicknamed her “Miss Smileyvanna.” Last of all, we have to mention Savannah's hair. She was infatuated in growing it to reach her feet just like Rapunzel's. Like Rapunzel's, her beautiful, rich colored hair glowed in the sunlight. Everything about Savannah glowed and sparkled.

Savannah was full of love and shared it with everyone around her. She considered everyone her friend, young or old. She was always giving gifts to people; seashells and feathers, colorful rocks, bracelets. She adored her brothers, sisters, nephew, and new sister- in-law, and would run and jump into their arms when they visited. She called her cousin, Addie, her BCF (best cousin forever) and she couldn't wait for her to visit. She also had a special relationship with her aunt Charitie Child and looked forward to spending time with her. She had some close special friends from school that meant so much to her!

Savannah's family welcoming her in Heaven are her Grandpa and Grandma Harold and Verda Mae Liljenquist, Grandpa Gary Child, little Grandma Janet Child, and Grandpa Gerald Larson. Savannah's relatives on earth that are aching without her are parents, Cody and Geri (Child) Liljenquist; siblings, Jessica Hitt and son, Brendyn, Shawn Liljenquist, Kimberly Liljenquist, Jordan (Katie) Liljenquist, and Kelan Liljenquist. She is also missed by her Grandma Judy Child, Grandma Ina Liljenquist, and Great-Grandma Rachel Larson. Savannah has 18 aunts and uncles that were so special to her in their own way and too many cousins to count.

The family would like to invite you to celebrate her life with them at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Truth Tabernacle, 2459 Hiland Ave., in Burley.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, Savannah's memory would best be honored by families doing something special with their own children in their lives.
