Rosey Lin Wayment

BURLEY – Rosey Lin Wayment, the daughter of Cory and Carriesa Wayment, returned to her Heavenly Father peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Even though only 5 months old, Rosey left her mark on this world. She was acquainted with opposition early on. Rosey and her twin sister were born 8 weeks early, and being only 3 lbs. 7 oz., Rosey beat all of the odds. The doctors’ prognosis was challenging from the onset; so, rather than having her short life only know hospitals and monitors, Rosey was released into the loving arms of her parents. What was expected to be hours, turned into days, which turned into weeks, which turned into months. Rosey constantly fought against the current of challenge, and affected the lives of her close and extended family by doing so. She was such a little miracle baby. Simply by being around her you felt the desire to be a better person.

She especially loved being in her mother’s arms. As a twin, Rosey had to hold her own for her busy mother’s attention. If her twin sister, Rubey, began to fuss while Rosey was in her mother’s arms, Rosey would give the look that seemed to say, “Don’t you dare put me down! Rubey will be ok!” Nothing else mattered when Mommy and Rosey were snuggling.

Rosey loved her twin sister, Rubey; they had an undeniable love for one another. They were happiest when they could lie by each other and hold hands. There really is something special about the relationship between twins.

Rosey joins her great-grandmother, Ruth Carr; and great-grandfathers, Kenneth Wheeler, and Garr Wayment.

Rosey is survived by her parents, Cory and Carriesa Wayment; brother, Nixtan; sisters, Kealee and Rubey (twin); grandparents, Joe and Jolene Wheeler of Nampa, and Jed and Linda Wayment of Burley; and great-grandparents, Kermit Carr and Linda Wheeler Carr of Nampa, Gerald and Juanita Nyborg of Rexburg, and Joan Wayment of Burley.

Rosey’s little “fighter” attitude toward life was a great example and will always be remembered by those who were close to her.
