Rebecca Rotha Firkins

BURLEY – Rebecca Rotha Firkins, age 54, of Burley, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at her home in Burley.

She was born to Marvin and Rotha Jones on May 12, 1960, in Brigham City, Utah. Becky was a graduate of Burley High School in 1978. She then went on to receive her associates degree and serve and LDS mission in Rochester, NY.

She stayed around the Mini-Cassia area and met her soul mate Dennis Firkins. They were soon married in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. She had a love for the outdoors, which included family camping and fishing trips in the summers, and enjoying the beautiful sites of Idaho.

She is survived by her husband Dennis; her two sons, Kaleb and Ben; two grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Springdale LDS Church, 519 E. 200 S., of Burley, with bishop Joey Christiansen officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Rockland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.
