Patrick Michael Lee

HEYBURN – Patrick Michael (Mike) Lee, age 66, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center in Burley, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on Jan. 11, 1948, to T. Bailey and Miren (Bideganeta) Lee in Coos Bay, Oregon. Mike joined the United States Army in 1965 and served three years in the Vietnam War. He returned to Burley and was taken in by his special aunt, Raquel Hinz, who raised him as her own, along with her six children. Growing up, Mike lived in many places such as Pakistan, Canada, Venezuela, and Turkey, as his father was an engineer for Morrison Knudsen. He married Jolene Moncur in 1970, and they were later divorced. He then married Ronalda Clark in 1989. He worked as a mechanic at Del Monte, Circle A, and Gossner Foods, from which he retired from in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Ronalda; his children, Brandi (Mitch) Downing of Meridian, Trisha (Eloy) Naranjo of Rupert, Heather (John) Harris of Rupert, and Matt (Amanda) McGregor of North Carolina; his sisters, Colleen Urresti of Boise, and Lisa (Rocky) Schmidt of Burley. Mike is also survived by eight grandchildren and many special cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Irel (Dick) Gudmundsen.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center, Idaho Home Health and Hospice, and Horizon Home Health and Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute in memory of Mike.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, with Pastor Gary Jones officiating.
