Marilyn Bywater

Marilyn Bywater 73 of Rupert passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017surrounded by her family at Minidoka Memorial Hospital. Marilyn was born March 14, 1943 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Edward and June Kirk. She married Gary Bywater January 26, 1961 and they have been happily married for almost 56 years. Marilyn worked as a counselor in the school district for many years and has served as president of the Rupert Lady Elks from 1985-1986. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and cooking. She never let anyone leave her home hungry. She always thought of others before herself, especially her husband. She is survived by her husband Gary Bywater and her children Jan Bywater, Dan (Paula) Bywater, Debbie (Brian) Smith, her grandchildren Anena (Travis) Mayer, Jeremy Bywater, Holly (Jackson) Quanstrom, Nathan (Aliza) Van Leuven, Kyle Santos, Tana (Cody) Turner, Nickol (Sean) Corr, Keith (Kayla) Goodsell and eleven Great Grandchildren and her mother June Kirk Banner, a Brother John Kirk and her sisters Deanna Honsinger, Myra (Glen) Beck. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hansen Mortuary. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017 and for one hour prior to the services at the Mortuary. Services are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.
