Lucille Elizabeth Friesen Downs

Lucille Elizabeth Friesen Downs passed away Wednesday July 20, 2016 in Burley Idaho. Lucille was born in Montpelier, Idaho to Annie and Edward Miller. She married Chet A. Friesen in 1943. She later married James Downs in 1972. She attained her nursing degree and worked at the Burley Hospital and Southern Idaho Therapy Service in Rupert. Lucille was a member of the Eastern Star and Jobs Daughters. She loved to go camping, travel, read, associate with friends, but nothing was as dear to her as the time spent with her grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by her children Don (Marti) Friesen and Gary (Darlene) Friesen. Grandchildren Heather Friesen, Tiffany (Tony) Hale, Great-Grandchildren Paisley Hale, Preston Parke, Kenadee Carson, Maverick Hale, and Remington Hale. She is preceded in death by Chet Friesen, Jim Downs, Kenny Friesen (son), and Shaun Friesen (grandson), Ed and Johnny Miller (brothers) and Annie Jorgensen (sister).

The family would like to give a special thanks to Anissa and the staff at Pomerelle Place, and the staff at Auburn Crest Hospice of Twin Falls.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Hansen Mortuary, 710 6th St in Rupert, with urn burial following at the Rupert Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.
