BURLEY - Kody Chad Mower, of Burley, returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 23, 2016.
Kody was born Dec. 1, 2015, in Burley, Idaho, to Kevin and Monica Zollinger Mower. Although Kody had a brief time on this earth, he influenced all who came in contact with him profoundly. He brightened the lives of many with his beautiful smile that he shared so easily. He emulated the pure love of Jesus Christ. His gentle demeanor brought peace and love to his home and family. He will be missed every day.
Kody’s favorite things included splashing in the bathtub, holding his own bottle, sleeping with Dad on the beanbag, exploring the world on Mom’s hip, laughing with and at his siblings, rolling around on the floor, and bouncing so high in his bouncer. He was learning to crawl, working on cutting his first teeth, and trying to adjust to eating solid foods. His family loved discovering his sparkling personality. We have many questions as to why he was taken from us so suddenly and quickly, but trust in the Lord.
Kody is survived by his loving parents, Kevin and Monica Mower; his siblings, Kamie, Kacie and Marc Mower; his maternal grandparents, Thales and Bonnie Zollinger; his paternal grandparents, Carl and Faun Mower; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his namesakes, Cody Whiting and Chad Craythorn.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at the Burley 3rd & 7th Ward LDS Church, 2200 Oakley Ave., in Burley, with Bishop Brent Winn officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley, 1350 E. 16th St., and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Thursday preceding the funeral at the church.
In lieu of flowers, consider making a contribution to the Kody Mower Memorial Fund; donations may be dropped off at the funeral home or mailed to Rasmussen Funeral Home, P.O. Box 878, Burley, ID 83318-0878.
