Jose Jaime Alvarado, age 77, of Burley, Idaho, returned to our Lord on Thursday afternoon, December 25, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. Born April 30th, 1938 in Durango, Mexico, he was the son of the late Ignacio R. Alvarado and Amparo (Arreola) Alvarado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Eva Alvarado Arreola. Jaime is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Adela whom he married in Minidoka, ID; three sons, Jim (Shannon) Alvarado, David Alvarado, and Steve (Mara) Alvarado; and seven grandchildren, Elle, Statton, Tarryn, Cora, Mason, Colin and Ronin; brothers, Calixto, Adan, Antonio, Rigoberto, and Ignacio; sisters, Veronica, Eufrosina, Carmen, Micaela, Maria T., Eliva and Doris and numerous nephews and nieces.
Jaime had a long career with the J.R. Simplot in Heyburn, Idaho where he worked for over 20 years until his retirement. Jaime also had several small businesses of his own throughout his life, including a trucking business and renting, buying and selling real estate.
Jaime was a very, courageous, hard-working man who loved to spend time with family and friends. He touched many lives and was always willing to help those in need. He was an avid baseball fan who loved to watch games and loved to play even more. He was also a huge fan of boxing, teaching his sons to box in their youth. Jaime loved to keep busy, and when he wasn't enjoying family, friends, baseball or boxing, you could find him chopping wood, working on one of his homes, or working on one of his cars.
Jose Jaime Alvarado, Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather, you will be greatly missed by all of us, but you will always live in the hearts and memories of your wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
