Jonathen Redd Meyers

Jonathen Redd Meyers returned to live with his Heavenly Father on September 23, 2022. Jonathen came into the world on March 16, 2010, joining his loving parents Kyle and Heather Meyers and big brother, Wesley. At the time, he lived out in the Jackson area, but then his family moved to live in the Heyburn area. Jonathen always loved to learn about everything around him. In fact, when Wesley was in kindergarten Jonathen would try to do Wesley’s homework before Wesley could complete it all. He loved to read, and many times would read several books in a day or week. Jonathen enjoyed his educational experiences at Paul Elementary School and West Minico Middle School. He participated in many different activities during his life. He played on several different baseball and basketball teams for Tri-Cities in his youth. He also loved playing for a season on the Rupert Ballers basketball team. The last 2 years he has run Cross Country for the combined East/West Minico team. Last year, Jonny stepped out of his comfort zone and auditioned for the middle school musical. He practiced several hours and sang The Impossible Dream. He was astonished when casting was announced and he was able to use his acting and singing talents as the Genie in the musical, Aladdin. He also was on the Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA and perfect attendance. He was a great example to everyone around him, especially his younger siblings, Nathaniel, Alexandria, McKenzie, and Camden.

Jonathen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was ordained as a Deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood in January of this year. He has been faithfully serving as his quorum secretary. He enjoyed passing the sacrament and helping everyone renew their covenants with their Heavenly Father. The day he passed Jon was in the service of his family having done laundry while his parents worked, making lunch for his siblings, and helping his grandparents mow their lawn. He is now working on the other side of the veil helping Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in preparation for the Second Coming. He must have been needed on that side more than we needed him here to live out the rest of eternity.

Jonathen is survived in this life by his parents Heather (Reddington) and Kyle Meyers, his siblings: Wesley, Nathaniel, Alexandria, McKenzie, and Camden, and his grandparents: Randy and Dawna Reddington and Scott and Deborah Meyers. Jonny Redd will live in the hearts of everyone who knew him for generations to come.

The Meyers Family would like to thank all the people from Minidoka Memorial Hospital, the sheriff’s deputies and EMTs that assisted in the care of Jonny and comforted his family that night.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects to Jon or the family a viewing will occur on September 29, 2022 from 5-8 pm at the Paul Idaho LDS Stake Center. The funeral service will be held on September 30, 2022 at 11 am conducted by Bishop Bill Conant, also at the Paul Idaho LDS Stake Center. Thank you for all the love and support of the community.
