Jimmy was born on December 5, 1954 in Hanford California, to Weldon and Irene Webb. He grew up in a few California towns including Hanford, Placerville, and even walked the streets of Bakersfield. At different times Jimmy made many states his home including California, Oregon, Nevada, Missouri, and Montana. Anybody that really knew him would say he had a giant heart and was a very kind man.
In 1974 he met the true love of his life Dee, in Harrisburg, Oregon, at Moores Court apartment #2. Within a year they had their first child together Mary Dee. A few years after their only son James was born, the year after followed another daughter, Diann. He was a good father even helping to raise Teresa, Dee’s daughter from a previous marriage. During this time Jimmy often worked as a self-employed logger. As the kids got older they would sometimes help with the wood cutting. Jimmy was happiest with a guitar in his hands. He would entertain his family for hours playing music and singing. The family also spent many days exploring High Pass in Oregon and driving Dafodil lane. He loved to travel and camp. One of his best trips was when he took his family to The Grand Canyon and Hintstone Land. One of his hobbies was gold panning and he once found himself a pretty good piece of gold! Jimmy and Dee would stay together for almost 30 years. After they separated Jimmy stayed in Oroville, CA where his son, James and daughter, Diann lived. During this time he had a few girlfriends including his long time companion Penny. While in Oroville Jimmy’s grandson, Cyrus was always at his side.
In 2023 he reunited with his common law wife, Dee meeting her in Montana. This was a wonderful blessing since it was Jimmy’s dream come true. He also finally got to spend time with Mary Dee and her husband, Evan along with their children, son-in-law, Ray, and grandchildren. The smiles that Ethan, Carson, and Nova put on Jimmy’s face and in his heart will be something his family will hold onto fondly.
Jimmy took a trip on February 1st, back to Oroville to see family and his return trip to Montana would become his final journey. He was at first thought to have fallen to sleep while driving but evidence instead points to a medical emergency such as issues with extreme high blood pressure or a stroke resulting in a single vehicle car accident near Burley, Idaho. He was five hours from home. We are heart broken. His physical self didn’t return to them but the love and memories his family holds will never leave them. We also know he is with Jesus watching over us now.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; his sister, Freda Brandt, brother, Lloyd Webb; as well as Lloyd’s son, Travis. There were also other family members who have passed on.
Jimmy is survived by his common-law wife, Delores Webb; his children, Mary Dee (Even) Bodenberger of Butte, Montana, Diann (Cory)Webb of Oceanside, CA; his grandchildren, Shadel, Kallie, Darla (Alex) Jipp, Jenel (Ray) Recore, Ethan Bodenberger, Cyrus Albert, Sammy, Jeffery (Danyelle) Baker, Katie Baker; and his great-grandchildren, Nova St. Marks, Carson Fellows, Remi and Rylee. He is also survived by his sister, Shelly (Red) Webb of Oroville, CA; sister-in-law, Sharon Webb and her daughter, Michelle; brother-in-law Jim Brandt, Penny, and his former son-in-law, Donald Jipp of Butte, Montana; as well as cousins; Aunt Carolynn, Rusty, Micheal, Jesse, Jimmy, Debbie, Matt, Mikey and many other relatives.
Sing in Heaven Dad! We will never be the same without you but we will see you again when we get there. We love you.
Our family would like to thank Diana Birge, Craig, Nik, Trooper Nye and Court from Idaho as well as the doctor from Montana and the others who stopped to try to help at the accident.
