Howard Edward Greenwell Jr.

BURLEY – Howard Edward Greenwell Jr., 52-year-old, longtime resident of Burley, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018.

Howard was born on September 19, 1966, in West Terre Haute, Indiana, to Rose and Howard Sr. He was the second oldest of four children; their childhood was spent following the fruit harvests through the states. Moving many times they have fond memories of being like gypsies, and even living out of an old school bus. Howard’s love for adventure and tinkering with his toys started at a young age. You could usually find him taking things apart to fix or just see how they worked. He moved to the southern Idaho area in the late 80’s, started a family and ended up staying in Idaho. He worked at Burley Radiator Works for 22 years and was a hard worker.

Howard was an amazing father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Edward Greenwell Sr.

He is survived by his children, Bobby (Ashley) Ricketts, Brian Greenwell, Heidi Joy, Ciara Greenwell, Jaydon Greenweell, Danashia Greenwell, and Jerrica Carpenter; his mother, Rose Greenwell; his brothers, Leslie Greenwell, Gary (Brandi) Greenwell; his sister, Eva Greenwell; his grandson, Trycin Greenwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Howard was a great man and will be dearly missed.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday October 19, at the Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where friends may call from 1:30 until 2:15 p.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at the Rupert Cemetery.
