BURLEY - Elaine Gaye Victor, 92, of Burley, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center in Burley.
Elaine was born on Feb. 22, 1924, to John and Josephine Victor in Evanston, IL.
Elaine was an avid horsewoman who won many championships in her 50-year career; several of which were world championships. Along with her love of horses, Elaine loved her dogs, who were constant companions throughout her life. Elaine was also a master gardener with roses being her specialty, of which she had as many as 100 different types in her garden at one time.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Glo E. (Bob) Grizzle of Cleburne, Texas; along with her grandchildren, Traci (Kay) Lloyd of Oakley, Sandi (Sander) Elquist of Twin Falls; Beau (Stacy) Brown of Corsicana, Texas, Bonni Brown of Frisco, Texas, Nicole (K.C.) Young of Paul; and her six great-grandchildren that she loved very much.
But most important to “Honey” as her loved ones called her, was her family. Honey will be deeply missed.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings; her son, John Berglund; and one great-granddaughter, Maddison Page Lloyd.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Parke View Care and Rehabilitation and Intermountain Home Care and Hospice for the loving care they all gave to our mother and grandmother.
Elaine’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, at the First Presbyterian Church, 2100 Burton Ave., in Burley, with the Rev. John Ziulkowski officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
