He is Survived by his children: Alan Mooso, Chris (Gary) Higgins, Michael Mooso, and Raelene (Eric) Rivard. Grandchildren: Stephanie (Patrick) Williams, Ty (Talon) Grant, Dakotah Mooso, Christopher (Mayra) Hurth, KyLeigh Smith. Great Grandchildren: Kadince, Jaemasyn, Gavin and Daesyn Williams. Kaycie, Elijha, and Malakai Grant. Alexander, Evielin, Olive and Isabell Hurth. Anastasia Mooso and Merrick Smith.

Grandma and Granddad Mooso moved to Oregon in 1942 and lived there several years before returning to Burley where dad attended Burley Jr. and Sr. High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and absolutely believed in his Savior Jesus Christ and his atonement.

After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Airforce and served four years from 1957 to 1961. He was a weapons specialist on an aircraft. He made sure when the pilot pushed the button to drop a bomb, that the bomb would drop for thermal nuclear weapons.

He returned to Burley and met mom in February 1962, and they were married a month later on March 29, 1962, and later sealed for all time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple November 1, 1997.

Mom and Dad moved to Oregon after Alan was born in February 1963. Chris was born in February 1965 in Oregon. While living in Oregon dad worked construction and logging, he also worked on the Green Peter Dam. By 1967 they moved back to Idaho and Michael was born in Sept 1967 and Raelene followed a year later in September 1968. Dad named all the kids but Chris. Mom named her after both of their mothers. Around the time Mike and Raelene were born dad started working for Kraft Foods where he retired after 30 years.

Dad had many different jobs in his life from construction, logging, working harvest, driving school bus, cheese maker and a juvenile detention officer for Mini Cassia Juvenile Detention Center until he completely retired in 2015. He said of all the jobs he had construction was his favorite.

He loved being Granddad - every grandchild he held he would tell them to say granddad, so much so that was the first words Kyleigh said. Boy was he proud of that. He was so proud of all his grandkids and great grandkids.

Dad loved to fish and hunt. In his younger years he enjoyed panning for gold and rock hunting and after retirement he enjoyed golfing. His favorite team was the Denver Bronco’s and his favorite Nasar driver was Tony Stuart. We always described him as the quiet one, unless we were in trouble, then not so quiet anymore. Mom was the social butterfly and the talkative one of the two and that was fine with him.

Dad and Mom were married for almost 53 years before she passed away. Their role’s reversed a bit as mom’s health and vision declined, dad became her caregiver the last couple of years of her life. It was a role he stepped up to and never complained.

He moved in with his youngest daughter Raelene in 2016 until his health declined in 2022. And was moved into Willows Assisted Living in Blackfoot, until a room was available in the memory care unit at Highland Estates, in February 2023 where he resided until his passing.

We want to thank all the caregivers who assisted with his health and wellbeing, all those who showed love and compassion for dad and his family at Highland Estates. Especially Crystal and Amy as well as Harrison Hope and Hospice.

We are going to miss you dad! We know you gave mom a big hug and kiss when you got to see her again. We will see you later. Love your Kids.
