Duncan Alexander French

Duncan was the most giving person I met. You had to be careful what you said around him. If he thought you wanted something, he would get it for you. He wouldn't wait for your birthday either. If you needed help with something, he was always there. He never complained. He was a hard worker and always tried to do a good job. He was a great friend to anyone. He didn't judge you. He was nice to everyone. He enjoyed playing games of all kinds. If you ever got beat by "Dabby"; that was Duncan. For as long as we can remember, he used that name (7 or 8 years old?). He just liked it. Duncan has spent the last few years composing a book. (He mostly worked on it during lunch times.) It is a fun fantasy story. He put it on the app "Wattpad". Anyone can read it. He was a joy to be around; always lifting everyone's spirit and bringing happiness with him. When he came over to visit, Duncan would stop at the porch; where our dog was usually sitting; and he would pet that dog with both hands like he was shampooing her head. Her ears would be flopping all over. Duncan would set on the porch and just keep on petting her. She always wanted more. At times we would go to the door and ask: "Are you coming in?" He would get up and say "yeh."; then he would bend down and pet that dog a few more times before coming in. He always took time to give a little extra, maybe a lot extra. He gave us a lot in his short time here. I guess we are just like our dog. We want more. We miss Duncan and cannot wait to see him again. We know that; because of our Heavenly Father's plan; we will be able to be with Duncan again. He is our son and brother and friend. We haven't lost him; but it feels like it.
