RUPERT – Clea (Mecham) Guisasola, age 87, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Independence, Missouri, on Saturday, June 23, 2012, under the care of Crossroads Hospice.

She worked at Patterson Market as a sales clerk and Tullock Pharmacy as a soda dispenser in Carey prior to joining the United States Army Air Forces on Nov. 26, 1944. She served her country during World War II and was discharged on Aug. 2, 1946. She married Samy Guisasola in 1947. They had four children and later divorced.
She started her career with the J.R. Simplot Company in 1967 and held near to her heart the many close friendships that lasted far beyond her retirement in 1986. Clea had a passion for quilting and she loved to golf. She treasured the close friendships she had with her golfing buddies and the time she shared with her quilting group trading material. Clea also had a very special bond with her niece, Lois Dunn. The last few months, she spent many hours of quality time with her favorite granddog Moose, who is already missing her lap.
Clea is survived by her children, Maria (Robert Brown) Guisasola, Joe Guisasola, and Lisa Allen; her grandchildren, Kristina Allen, Brian (Ashley) Allen, Samantha Guisasola and Joshua Guisasola; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Aiden and Avory; her sister, Lois Stocking; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Samy Lynn; brothers, Willis Legrand, Eldon, Lloyd, and Parley James “Jim”; and her sisters, Eva Donetta “Dona”, Catherine and Lula.
