Beverly Patricia Handy

HEYBURN - Beverly Patricia Hacking Handy, the wife of Max Duane Handy, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Flora Bell Hindmarsh Hacking and William Fredrick Hacking; and all of her brothers and sisters, Bessie Hacking Thaxton, Velora Hacking McCombs, Dorothy Hacking Larsen, Bryon Hacking and Bud Hacking. Two of her children predeceased her, Kevin Duane Handy and Patressa (Terri) Lynn Handy Hennefer.

Beverly, age 84, (known as Pat to her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews) is survived by her husband, M. Duane Handy of 65 years; her daughter, Nancy Handy; nine grandchildren; and 17 ½ great-grandchildren.

Beverly was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a retired Idaho educator.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Heyburn LDS 1st and 2nd Ward Church, 530 Villa Dr., in Heyburn, with Bishop Corwin Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday, at the church preceding the funeral.
